St Louis most dangerous City
The survey says violent crime surged nearly 20 percent in St. Louis last year. But mayoral aide Jeff Rainford says the survey is based on flawed data. He cites estimates showing the city’s population at 353,000, not 330,000 as cited in the survey.
Also, Rainford notes that St. Louis’ boundaries have been set since 1876. That means affluent suburban areas with low crime are not counted in St. Louis statistics.
Rainford says that if you counted communities like Clayton, Webster Groves and others in the statistics, St. Louis would rank among the communities with the lowest crime rates.
